Decatur Brew Works and Tried & True Tattoo are proud to present our first (hopefully annual) homebrew competition.

Name: Tried & True Homebrew Competition
Sponsors: Decatur Brew Works and Tried and True Tattoo
Entry Fee: $7 for initial entry, $5 for each subsiquent entry (maximum 3 entries) - may not enter same category twice. All entry fees are due at the time of drop off.
Entry Period: June 21-25, entries must be dropped off at Decatur Brew Works during regular business hours, mail in entries will not be accepted.
Hours of Operation: The brewery is open from 4-10 Tuesday through Friday, and 12-10 on Saturday.
Judges: One sanctioned judge, 3 guest judges. The guest judges will work under the direction of the BJCP judge to ensure sound feedback for all entrants.
Rules for Entry:
Each entry shall consist of 2 bottles. All commercial and homemade labels must be removed. All Beer entries must be in 10-16 oz. brown or green glass. No bottles with ink, name-brand lettering (i.e. Corona), or glued or taped on paper labels. Raised NO DEPOSIT, brand names, or manufacturing codes are acceptable. Beers must be capped with crown caps. Meads & Ciders may be entered in 6 to 16oz bottles. Grolsch-type swing-top bottles, 22 ounce bombers, 750 ml bottles, or plastic bottles are NOT permitted.
Bottles should be free of identifying marks. Bottle caps should be plain or have any markings inked or blacked out.
Judging will be based on the 2015 BJCP Style Guideline revisions. If you are not yet familiar with the changes in this revision, please read the guidelines for your entry styles, as all required information must be provided.
The competition is open only to amateur brewers; commercial or brew-on-premise beers will be disqualified.
A label must be affixed to EACH entry.

What Do You Win?
The beer selected best overall will win an opportunity to brew their batch on our 3 BBL brewing system. The goal is to release the winning beer on or near Decatur Celebration with as much fan fair as we can muster. Other prizes TBD.
