Beer And Yoga!


Yoga is back at DBW in July! Come in at 10am for an hour of Yoga with Chuck Beck that is designed for beginners and novices alike.

$15 dollars will get you an hour of yoga, as well as a flight or pint of beer after the class.

No need for advanced sign-ups, just grab your mat and come on in!

Disney Movie Trivia Night!


We finally are getting around to doing Disney Movie Trivia! The questions will be limited to ANIMATED films; including PIxar ones such as Toy Story.

Tiebreakers may feature Disney Live Actions Movies.

There will be 6 rounds of 5 questions each. Teams will be of 2-4 people. There will be a couple prizes so get your teams together and come out for a great night!

Lord Of The Rings Trivia is here! All questions will be based off of the movie. Could extended addition play a factor? Maybe. There's plenty of time to binge all 9000+ hours.

As Bare As You Dare Beer Mile

We're running again (and drinking). This time its for a cause. 

Come wearing extra clothing - stuff you want to donate. 

We're running four laps of a quarter mile each. After each lap you'll shed an article of clothing to donate to charity. Go as bare as you dare. 

You'll also take a drink. Line up your four 4oz beers (as high alcohol as you can stomach). 1 drink per lap. 

Cost: 1 Flight and 3 articles of clothing.

Remember - can't spell DRUNK without RUN.

First Annual "Tried and True" Homebrew Competition

Decatur Brew Works and Tried & True Tattoo are proud to present our first (hopefully annual) homebrew competition.

Please read the following carefully: 

Name: Tried & True Homebrew Competition

Sponsors: Decatur Brew Works and Tried and True Tattoo

Entry Fee: $7 for initial entry, $5 for each subsiquent entry (maximum 3 entries) - may not enter same category twice. All entry fees are due at the time of drop off. 

Entry Period: June 21-25, entries must be dropped off at Decatur Brew Works during regular business hours, mail in entries will not be accepted. 

Hours of Operation: The brewery is open from 4-10 Tuesday through Friday, and 12-10 on Saturday. 

Judges: One sanctioned judge, 3 guest judges. The guest judges will work under the direction of the BJCP judge to ensure sound feedback for all entrants. 


Rules for Entry: 


Each entry shall consist of 2 bottles. All commercial and homemade labels must be removed. All Beer entries must be in 10-16 oz. brown or green glass. No bottles with ink, name-brand lettering (i.e. Corona), or glued or taped on paper labels. Raised NO DEPOSIT, brand names, or manufacturing codes are acceptable. Beers must be capped with crown caps. Meads & Ciders may be entered in 6 to 16oz bottles. Grolsch-type swing-top bottles, 22 ounce bombers, 750 ml bottles, or plastic bottles are NOT permitted.


Bottles should be free of identifying marks. Bottle caps should be plain or have any markings inked or blacked out.

Judging will be based on the 2015 BJCP Style Guideline revisions. If you are not yet familiar with the changes in this revision, please read the guidelines for your entry styles, as all required information must be provided.

The competition is open only to amateur brewers; commercial or brew-on-premise beers will be disqualified.

The beer selected best overall will win an opportunity to brew their batch on our 3 BBL brewing system. The goal is to release the winning beer on or near Decatur Celebration with as much fan fair as we can muster.  Other prizes TBD.

Painting at the Brewery

Please join us at the Decatur Brew Works on Monday, June 13th for Painting at the Brewery. Artist extraordinaire Liz Swarthout will give you all the tools you need to paint the above painting. 

Painting would not be complete without a beer (or two***). Your ticket for admission includes a pint of beer as well. The beer will flow until the painting is done, so you're welcome to have more than one. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up at the brewery and get your ticket in advance! 

When: June 13th

Time: 7 PM

Cost: $35 - buy tickets in advance at the brewery, or take a chance and buy them the night of. 

***Additional beer will be sold at regular tap prices.

University Dogs ~ Hotdogs and Beer

University Dogs is dusting off their hot dog cart and parking out front of the Brewery. Stop by for a tasty dog from local favorites. They say a hot dog pairs very well with lots of beer. 

Stop by for a tasty lunch! The cart will be outside (weather permitting) and prices will range from $3 - $7 depending on the dog you choose.

Running For Craft Beer

Brian Bell is hosting a beer and running event at the brewery. It was a blast last time, despite the cold. This should be even better. Runners - each beer you buy gets you an entry into a drawing for a DBW T-shirt. 4 loops means 4 entries!

We will also be playing Kick The Keg that night. Our weekly tradition of emptying kegs to prepare for the weekend. This means cheap beer and possibly prizes!
